About Renzoku Puzzles
Renzoku is a number puzzle built on a Latin square, like Sudoku without boxes. The dots between cells do the work: a dot means the two numbers differ by exactly one, and a missing dot means they do not.
How to solve Renzoku
- Latin square: Each row and column holds every number from 1 to N exactly once.
- Dot = consecutive: Two cells joined by a dot hold consecutive numbers, like 3 and 4.
- No dot = not consecutive: Neighbours without a dot never differ by one.
- Givens: A few numbers are printed to get you started.
Reading the sheet
- Dots sit on the line between two cells.
- The answer key prints the given numbers in bold.
Questions
Where do I start a Renzoku?
Look at the smallest and largest numbers: 1 and N have only one consecutive partner each, so a cell with two dots on opposite sides can never hold them.
How do I save these as a PDF?
